Plan Following my visit to the property I have now had chance to look at the application in more detail. Unfortunately, I do have concerns regarding the design of the extension being proposed. Whilst I consider that the principle of a first floor extension may be acceptable in this instance, I consider that the submitted design of the extension would fail to compliment the appearance of the original hipped roof property or the visual amenity of the street scene. As such, I have attached sketches of a first floor extension that would be more in keeping with the original design of the property, the street scene, and is compliant with the design details contained within the Councils adopted policy guidelines. I hope these sketches would provide a useful guide to depict an extension that may be suitable in this instance. I would welcome your thoughts on the recommended changes. If you are willing to amend your proposal to reflect these recommendations please could you amend the plans accordingly as soon as possible, but before the 12/03/2018, so I can progress the application in line with the amendments.
